Mix #5: I Watched A Horror Movie

I watched The House Of The Devil the other day. Behold: A horrifyingly awesome mix. I'm going to keep the tracklist secret for a while. I don't want to ruin the suspense. There is so much suspense.

Awesome Video!
Wait for the solo!
This is blowing up and I don't want anyone to miss it."Shine" by Final Placement from sharity world on Vimeo.
Check out their Facebook page.
Location: Midland, Texas
Influences: Seether, Van Halen, AC/DC
Biography: Final Placement is a Christian Rock band from Midland Tx. It consists of four guys from Midland Christian School. They are currently playing shows. They dream of scoring a record label one day. The philosophy of FP is, "The world is gone but not lost it can still be saved, all it takes is the people to listen. Maybe if they will hear the message and change."
Update Feb 24 — Oh no! Looks like they took down their Facebook page and removed the video from YouTube! But it's still on Vimeo for now.
introducing andy i.

i swear, i've got some music lists coming. sooner or later. in lieu of posting one today i'm going to link you all to an old friend of mine. he's been writing and playing great songs since before i even figured out that learning a few chords on the guitar could attract girls. anyway, i'm not sure how often he updates this site but check it out. he's got some good covers on there and a couple of originals. we can always hope he puts more up in the near(ish) future.

Bob Boilen Loves Everyone, Including Joanna Newsom
Some make music because they want to, but Joanna Newsom makes music because she has to — at least that's my guess. —Bob Boilen
Oh Bob Boilen, who don't you love?Listen to Joanna Newsom's really long new album via NPR.
Lou Reed Hates MP3s
Stares into soul, soul stares back

Lou Reed hates MP3s! What a hater! (Just joking.) Reed was gently interviewed a few days ago on CBC Radio's Q with Jian Chomeshi (whatever that is) and you can listen to the podcast online.
A few small quotes about cameras:
- "I really love looking through the viewfinder. Things look better through the camera."
- "It's like having a private screening in a movie theater."
- "Crisper, cleaner, move things around... It looks better through it."
- "I don't read and write anymore, and I can't read a camera manual."
Also Lou Reed, you are only 67 years old! Why can't you read? I am saddened. Maybe he just refuses to?
Neko Case and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy T-Pain (and DOOM)

Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge is a new show on Adult Swim with Neko Case featuring T-Pain and DOOM. Watch the pilot here on some Adult Swim Burger King tie-in site. Adult Swim should know that BK is like the worst fast food.
It is time to ask a question of ourselves: Could three-dee have advanced enough to make cartoons good with?
